Decision? Choice? Decision? Choice? What’s the Difference?

Sherry Anshara

Can’t decide what to do? What decision should I make? What is the deciding factor? Do these questions sound familiar to you? Is a decision difficult to make? Or from a more expanded awareness, what is a decision? Is it based upon a Belief System that was “decided” for you from your past? Is a decision clear or is it clouded with doubts or confusion?

There is a huge difference between a decision and a choice.

A decision is really based upon a Belief System. Without judging the Belief System, there is an underlying factor in Belief Systems that you have to do it a certain way, you have to fit into the Belief System, you have to…you have to…you have to! Decisions are not necessarily decided with great clarity. Decisions can be made without all of the facts. Decisions can be very emotional. Decisions, more times than not, seem to be premised on “stuck” in the decision. They are not very flexible and may appear to be enduring, not necessarily long term productive.

So what’s the difference between a choice and a decision? Consciously and energetically, decisions are not as empowering. Choices are very empowering. Why? Because choices are based upon facts, not emotions! Choices have clarity. Choices provide you with options. Decisions are usually without options. Decisions are usually based upon someone else’s idea of what you should do, could do, or better yet just do what they expect you to do.

When you accept a decision…in Wordology is your Biology™ predicated upon someone else’s definition of what you are suppose to do according to their opinion, you are not only pinned at your ion or cellular level by their Belief System, your decision has taken away your power. Why? Because your journey is influenced by someone else, good, bad or indifferent, you are not part of the equation.

To make clear choices, you must be clear about what you require, desire and absolutely deserve in your life. Choices are empowering because they do have options, but the best of choices, you can change them anytime you feel you are complete with that choice. In a decision, it can be challenging, long term and not always achieving the best results for you. Remember they are based upon someone else’s Belief System. There is no doubt, everyone who makes decisions for you, does have your best interest, however, is their best interest of interest to you and your ideas of what you would love to accomplish for your Self?

Whether you make a decision or a choice is up to you. Be clear about the Belief Systems upon which your choices or decisions are made. Make sure whichever one you select has your best interest at heart. Make sure the decision or the choice empowers you and doesn’t take your power away. The best place to begin in making a choice or a decision begins in your heart. If it feels right, do it, if it doesn’t, get more information. The more information you have, the better off you are. Fear is lack of information, so don’t let fear overwhelm you, stick to the facts not the emotions. Only you can determine how you live your life. Remember, you always have choices and options.
