Notes From Within

In a recent discussion I was asked a few questions regarding my thoughts on prayer. This is a great topic to address as we all come together with different spiritual traditions and beliefs. The idea and practice of prayer has changed drastically from what many have once known it to be (Christian Prayer), as well as its application in our daily lives.
Whether we practice independently or within a group, prayer offers the opportunity to celebrate, unite, give thanks, ask for assistance and/or

Love is feeling, feeling love.
During all of our lifetimes and for thousands of years before, wars have been fought defending our ideals. It has been, and continues to be a constant battle between what is truth and what is not, good vs. bad, right vs. wrong, and heaven vs. hell. We have all become so fixed in that which we believe. Q:How does one activate their third eye?
One can activate their third eye through various forms of meditation. The most common form of meditation used to achieve third eye awakening is by opening the energy centers of the body or charka meditation. The third eye is the body’s energy center for intuition; this is where you see and sense beyond the physical realm.
Take time each day to focus on your third eye or 6th chakra. Picture a purple clockwise spinning light at the forehead. Take a few deep breaths. Allow this purple light energy to radiate out as far as possible. You may feel slight pressure or a tingling sensation in that area. Have this purple light radiate out towards the back of you head as well, much like a lighthouse. Let your body absorb this feeling. Pay attention to what you may see and hear during this time. Even if you don’t feel anything to begin with, continue to picture this beautiful light extending out. Practice this daily or as often as possible. Though it is important to open your third eye, it is just as important to open all the body’s charkas for optimal health and balance.
Along with meditation, begin to listen to your inner voice, the more you follow these nudges of insight the more open your body becomes. The old saying, “if you don’t use it you lose it” is a great example of what occurs. We don’t actually lose anything, but when aspects of our body are ignored they tend to shut down or go dormant. Just by acknowledging to yourself and your body that you want to awaken these energy centers will provide the spark needed to boot the system.
