In religions that incorporate reincarnation, karma extends through one's present life and all past and future lives as well. It is cumulative.
Those that acknowledge karma within their realities believe that at death, both the body and spirit returns to the Mother Goddess, the Earth, heaven, where the spirit rests and then is reborn again in a new body repeating this cycle over and over, known as reincarnation.
There is a misconception that Karma is linked with equal and opposite reactions. For example: I steal - someone steals from me, I love- someone loves me back, I kill - some will kill me, and so on. What Karma truly describes is a way of living consciously, knowing every action has a frequency and vibration. If you live in a positive state of mind you will create a positive environment and the opposite is true with a negative state of mind. Be aware of your surroundings and see what you have created for yourself.
THE LAW OF KARMA
In regards to the Law of Karma it is said that all living creatures are responsible for their karma - their actions and the effects of their actions - and for their release from samsara (cycle of karma).
By learning to balance the mind, body, and soul through awareness and becoming a conscious creator of your life, you can achieve healing of the past karmic lessons and release them from your cellular memory. This means you no longer need to live in the cycle of Karma and reincarnation, if you so choose. Create your reality based on what is true to you, not the ideas or concepts that we have been indoctrinated through history.
