SOL LUCKMAN In the spirit of Carl Jung, I've been saying and writing for years that breakdown is a prerequisite for breakthrough (for example, here and here). This is a universal truth, as far...
A politically correct society is constantly asking us to be tolerant of alternative lifestyles. The faster that society moves, the more extreme that lifestyles become. The 'Animal Planet,' 'History Channel,' or another channel, I can't remember, recently reported that in India, the society allows citizens to marry pets, even if pets are alligators. Okay. Just don't expect many three-ways.When checking this out, the always available Internet said that they do it out of superstition. According to Yahoo Answers, they do whatever their 'god men' tell them to do. 'They fall prey to the so-called god men who are out to make a quick buck. They do whatever these guys tell them to, whether it is marrying an animal, a tree or killing newborns. It all boils down to ig...
Becoming irrelevant is easy. The phone can stop ringing for a myriad of reasons: we become ill, our children left the nest, friends moved away or got too busy, etc. We can no longer look to our family and friends for validation. Believing that whatever we have to say or give is no longer of worth can be a dispiriting feeling.I once gave a performance for one audience member. I gave that one person the same performance I'd give to a filled house. He paid his money. He deserved my best. In fact, the pressure was off. He probably got a better performance.Human beings are reliably unreliable. This is merely a fact of being human when we are blessed with aspirations, whether those desires are to tend to a family or a career.Remaining reliable is a test on its own. Settin...
Wanted to share this photo of recent birthday celebrations with our dear friend Sir Richard Branson. What a great time was had by all! This is posted in dedication to Richard's fun-loving 3 Heart's Desire and wonderful sense of humor! ...
Wanted to officially wish Sir Richard Branson, one of my favorite people in this world, a very Happy Birthday!Richard Charles Nicholas Branson was born on July 18, 1950, sixty-one years ago today.Lots of you who've been fans of Numerology for some time now will be able to appreciate that Richard is a 22 -- and what a great job he's been doing of lighting the way on THAT life path!As Wayne Gretsky said, the key is to skate to where the puck's going, not to where it is right now, and Richard Branson's life is certainly a demonstration of that. What's more, he has a 3 Heart's Desire, which means that deep in his heart, he just...
A conversation:Would it scare you if I told you that I sense that the second coming of Christ may very well be within each of us through a spiritual awakening? That I believe that we have a oneness with God now and always will but, maybe we just don't realize it? That heaven could be realized right here on Mother Earth? That love is the way simply by wholeheartedly being now, right here, what you believe God to be? Forgiving, nonjudgmental, unconditionally loving.... and that if we were purely this way, we may cease to physically exist because we would vibrate so high that we would transcend the physical and be nothing but the pure loving light of God?Maybe the concept of 'Jesus' , whether metaphorical or actual, was simply a demonstration of this to each of us...
While watching and filming the fox, this 'Mindful Breathing Meditation' just happened
Breathing in the fresh crisp mountain air
Breathing out I am happy
Breathing in gazing upon the distant snow capped mountains
Breathing out I feel gratitude
Breathing in I know we all are breathing the same air
Breathing out I know you are my friend.

Don't you sometimes have a different picture of your Self than what other people see in you? Oh yeah, you have been taught to put your best face forward, act a certain way to fit in, wear certain clothes with the right label, wear the same things the stars wear, and you will be seen as successful as them! All the blah, blah, blah stuff that prevents not only you but others from 'seeing' the perfect picture of you! What is the perfect picture of you? Is it the one speaks volumes of who you are or who you are not. Is it a picture of someone else's idea of you? Is the picture something you can not relate to when you look into the mirror? These are great questions to ask your Self.
What, in fact, are you picturing about your Self? Do you picture your Self su...
Is't my desire,
to finally inspire,
a revolution in the heart of thee.
From wills within,
may heaven spin,
it's evolution of the blooming tree.
On planes and rays,
across sails and cayes,
may winds of change leave a trace.
In the song of the lark,
and a moment too dark,
may the light cast upon your face.
Under the spell of time,
an imposing rhyme,
shall complete this thought to soon.
